For a great day out in THANET

The golf course was formed by the Read family and Ivor Read, sadly deceased, ran it for many years. Ivor Read was a well-known figure in Westgate-on-sea and owned many properties and a famous collection of vintage cars.
He left the course and buildings to his his charitable trust which, amongst other things, benefit Canterbury and Salisbury Cathedrals.
Ivor Read always said his course should enable people of all incomes to enjoy golf.
